A's RHP Griffin leaves early with tight shoulder
Athletics rookie right-hander A.J. Griffin left Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays with tightness in his pitching shoulder.
Griffin left with two outs in the second inning.
Although nothing appeared out of the ordinary, the A's trainer bolted from the dugout after Yan Gomes flied out. Griffin was immediately pulled from the game and replaced by Jordan Norberto.
Griffin (3-0, 2.42 ERA) gave up a leadoff single to Yunel Escobar and then retired five straight.
