Arizona signs utility INF Ojeda to 1-year deal

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed utility infielder Augie Ojeda and right-handed reliever Blaine Boyer to one-year deals.

Both were arbitration eligible. Ojeda will make $825,000, Blaine $725,000.

Ojeda hit .246 for Arizona last season, establishing career highs for at-bats, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples and walks. He appeared in 35 games at second base, 34 at shortstop and 28 at third base.

Boyer pitched for three teams last season, going 0-2 with a 4.12 ERA in 48 relief appearances with Atlanta, St. Louis and Arizona. He pitched in 20 games for the Diamondbacks, with an 0-2 record and 2.68 ERA.
