Anthony Rizzo's new cereal, RizzOs, is flying off the shelves

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo's bat is heating up as of late, as the slugger is hitting .300 with a .417 on-base percentage and a 1.050 slugging percentage over his last five games. Oh, and he also has five home runs and 10 RBI.

Things are going just as well for Rizzo off the field, as his new cereal, RizzOs, has been flying off the shelves. More than 80,000 boxes of RizzOs have been sold to the cereal's exclusive vendor Jewel-Osco, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

That's a lot of Os.

Rizzo partnered with PLB Sports to launch the honey nut-flavored oat cereal earlier this month, and now many stores are having trouble keeping RizzOs in stock.

"I can confirm that some stores have sold out of RizzOs," Jewel-Osco spokeswoman Mary Frances Trucco told The Daily Herald.

RizzOs, which is only available for a limited time, sells for $6 for two 14-ounce boxes at Jewel. The cereal also is available on Amazon.com for about $15 per box.

RizzOs also supports a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from each box goes to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, which raises money for cancer research and provides support to children and their families battling the disease. The back of the cereal box features Rizzo's story about his personal battle with cancer.
