Angels star Mike Trout OK after scary crash on freeway

Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout was uninjured in a car accident Wednesday evening in Tustin, California.

According to ABC7, Trout was trying to avoid another crash on a freeway around 9 p.m. when his brakes locked up and he hit another vehicle. Trout was not hurt, but a woman was trapped in the car he struck and had to be rescued. One person was reportedly taken to the hospital.

Trout was seen walking around after the crash.

Trout's agent, Craig Landis, and Angels GM Billy Eppler confirmed to the Orange County Register that the outfielder was OK and resting at home.

“I have spoken with Mike this evening and he feels fine. He is at home with his roommate and is planning on traveling with the club to Seattle tomorrow afternoon. We will update as more information becomes available,” Eppler told the paper.

The Angels had a 4 p.m. home game Wednesday against the Reds, and Trout got the day off in the 3-0 win.
