Albert Pujols says no to Home Run Derby
Albert Pujols is passing on the Home Run Derby at this year's All-Star game.
The three-time NL MVP said Monday he's participated three times and felt he could say no this time around. Pujols' comments were first reported by FoxSports Midwest.
``I'm not doing it,'' Pujols said. ``I don't care if they ask. I did it three times already and I enjoyed it.
``I don't feel like I want to do it this year, so that's it.''
Pujols had 32 homers and 87 RBIs heading into the 2009 All-Star game in St. Louis. He had 15 homers and 48 RBIs the rest of the season.
