Albert Belle watches Indians as guest of team

Former Indians slugger Albert Belle has returned to where he had his finest moments as a player.

Belle, who hit 50 homers for Cleveland in 1995, attended Friday night's game against Minnesota at Progressive Field as a guest of the Indians. It was his first visit to the ballpark since retiring in 2000.

Belle spent eight seasons with the Indians and was known for his power and an explosive personality. He played in the team's charity golf outing on Thursday.

He left Cleveland as a free agent after 1996. He signed with the White Sox and also played for Baltimore before a hip injury forced him to retire.

He hit 242 homers - second most in team history - with the Indians, helping them to the World Series in '95.
