Adam LaRoche and his son are throwing out the first pitch for a Nationals playoff game
Unless you slept through MLB's spring training, you probably recall the curious case of Adam LaRoche and the Chicago White Sox's battle over the amount of time the first baseman's 14-year-old son Drake spent with the team.
LaRoche retired over the disagreement, the White Sox moved on, pitcher Chris Sale later cut up the team's throwback jerseys as the team fell out of the AL Central race and now here we are: Adam and his son will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2 of the NLDS between the Nationals and Dodgers at Nationals Park on Saturday.
The announcement was made by Nationals executive Valerie Camillo on 106.7 The Fan on Wednesday:
LaRoche spent four seasons with the Nationals from 2011-2014 so this is a bit of a reunion for him.
This is important, too:
Livan Hernandez will out throw out the ceremonial first pitch for NLDS Game 1, per @VCamillo_Nats. Game 2: Drake and Adam LaRoche. Wow.

More from @VCamillo_Nats: Nats offering 20% off food/beverage for first hour after gates open. Message seems pretty clear: Show up early.
