A Mets minor leaguer appears to be selling a signed Tim Tebow bat on eBay

Although Mets GM Sandy Alderson said that signing Tim Tebow wasn't a stunt to sell merchandise, the team store was well-prepared for his instructional league debut last month by selling Tebow jerseys and shirts - and he delivered on the field with a home run in his very first at-bat. It appears that one of Tebow's St. Lucie Mets teammates is also trying to cash in on his career move by selling a signed bat that Tebow used on eBay.

A "Tim Tebow Authentic Game Used Mets Marucci Signed Bat" is listed on eBay for a price of $4,500, and the seller is "pmazeika19."

Mazeika played college ball at Stetson and was drafted in the 8th round in 2015. He played his first professional season in Class A for the Columbia Fireflies, and was with the St. Lucie Mets for Tebow's arrival. Given how low minor league salaries are, you can't really blame the guy.
