Cruising!

Montgomery cruised through the first two innings by allowing only one base runner on an infield single.

Dealing!

Kelly went three up, three down in the third inning as he made his way unscathed through the Rangers lineup.

Solo shot!

Gabriel Moreno hit a solo homer that put the Diamondbacks ahead 1-0 in the fourth. The D-backs tacked on another run in the fourth as Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s single drove in Tommy Pham.

Cutting the deficit!

Mitch Garver launched a solo shot in the fifth to cut the Diamondbacks' lead in half, to 2-1.

Picked off!

After Montgomery gave up a double to Pham, he got revenge by picking him off at second base to end the top of the sixth.

Tacking on!

Evan Longoria singled down the third-base line, scoring Alek Thomas and extending the Diamondbacks' lead to 3-0 in the seventh. Corbin Carroll then stepped to the plate and came through with an RBI single to score Longoria for a 4-0 lead.

Pouring it on!

Ketel Marte came up clutch in the eighth with a two-out single up the middle, adding two more runs for the Diamondbacks. Then, Carroll came up once again and immediately knocked another RBI single through to push the D-backs' lead to 7-1.

Marte's single also extended his playoff hitting streak to 18 games, which is the longest in MLB postseason history.

Breaking it open!

Emmanuel Rivera broke the game open even further for the D-backs with a two-RBI single as they took a 9-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth.

Series tied!

The D-backs defeated the Rangers 9-1 in Game 2 and successfully evened the series 1-1, as the Fall Classic now shifts to the desert.
