Roger Chapman withdraws from US Open

Roger Chapman has withdrawn from the U.S. Open because of a shoulder injury.

Chapman was eligible by winning the U.S. Senior Open last year. He was replaced in the field by Scott Stallings. The U.S. Open starts June 13 at Merion.

Stallings had an outside chance to be exempt until his rally at the Memorial came up short and he tied for fourth. He went to 36-hole sectional qualifying the next day in Memphis, Tenn., and failed to earn a spot in a playoff. But he was first alternate out of Memphis, which turned out to be enough to get him to Merion.
