Rock leads after Italian Open 2nd round
Robert Rock shot a 4-under 68 to take a one-shot lead over Chris Wood and Joost Luiten after the second round of the Italian Open on Friday.
Rock was 12 under for the tournament as he seeks his first European Tour win. Six others were within two shots of the lead, including Italian favorites Matteo Manassero and Francesco Molinari.
With most of the top players preparing for next week's US Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md., this week's European Tour stop features only two players in the top 50 of the world rankings: Manassero and Molinari.
The round of the day belonged to Victor Dubuisson, who shot a 10-under 62 and is among eight players three shots off the lead at 9 under.
