Phil Mickelson nearly aces 8th hole as he continues his charge at the British Open

The Phil Mickelson show continued Friday in the second round of the British Open.

After shooting a 63 in the first round Thursday, Mickelson extended his stretch of bogey-free golf to 29 holes Friday before finally bogeying the 12th. That included more success at the Postage Stamp, where he nearly sunk a hole-in-one on the eighth hole on this incredible shot:

Mickelson shrugged off the rainy conditions to move to 10 under par through 12 holes -- good enough for a three-shot lead.
