PGA of Australia gets caught up in Masters
The PGA of Australia has been criticized on Twitter during the final round of the Masters for tweeting that ''we need a mistake'' from Angel Cabrera.
With Jason Day, Adam Scott and Marc Leishman all contending for a first green jacket for any Australian, the PGA of Australia tweeted: ''We need a mistake from the big hitting Argentine down 13.''
A few minutes later, the ruling body for golf in Australia was criticized by a California follower: ''Really? (hash)badssportsmanship.''
The Australian PGA quickly tweeted a reply: ''We shouldn't wish bad luck for anyone and the previous tweet was bad sportsmanship Clearly let our enthusiasm get in the way.''
Cabrera hit into the creek on the 13th to fall out of the lead, but recovered to force a playoff with Scott.
