Lee brothers to meet in quarterfinals

Brothers Stanford and Louis Lee each won two matches Tuesday and will face off in the quarterfinals of the USGA Senior Amateur Championship.

Wednesday morning's match will be the first between brothers in the history of the USGA Senior Amateur.

Stanford Lee, the 2007 champion, needed 19 holes to beat Tony Green of Kingsport, Tenn., in their afternoon match. Louis Lee reached the quarters with a 5-and-4 victory against Steve Poulson of Draper, Utah.

Defending champion Paul Simson and Chip Lutz also advanced at the 6,829-yard, par-72 Kinloch Golf Club.

Lutz is attempting to join Simson as the only two men to win the USGA Senior Amateur, Canadian Men's Senior and British Seniors Open Amateur Championships in the same season.
