James Hahn wins PGA Tour playoff after opponent hits ball into a fan's shoe

James Hahn entered the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow this weekend having missed eight consecutive cuts, but he won his second career PGA Tour event in a playoff with Roberto Castro after squandering a chance to win in regulation.

With a one-shot lead, Hahn three putted the 72nd hole to drop into a playoff with Castro. The two players returned to the 18th tee, where Castro blasted his drive left of the fairway and into a creek. He dropped the ball on the side of a hill and had a tremendously difficult shot with the ball above his feet, and hit it over the green and into the crowd - where it landed inside a shoe.

Castro was able to remove it from the shoe, fortunately, and managed to get up and down for bogey. Hahn, though, struck a beautiful second shot in the heart of the green and two putted to win the tournament.
