Here's video proof that Tiger Woods is making serious progress toward a comeback

After Tiger Woods voluntarily stalled his latest comeback attempt by withdrawing from the first PGA Tour event of the new season at the last minute, there are plenty of analysts and fans (understandably) proclaiming that Woods will never return to professional golf. The 40-year-old has undergone three back surgeries since 2014 and hasn't played competitively since August of 2015, and that streak will now stretch to December (at least).

Fortunately, Woods says that his decision to not play in the Safeway Open this weekend has nothing to do with his health. In a statement announcing his plan to delay his return until the Hero World Challenge, Woods admitted that his game simply wasn't good enough to "compete against the best golfers in the world," which makes sense considering his lengthy layoff.

Woods was on the course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club Tuesday, though, for his foundation's TW Invitational. Woods led a clinic at the course, and footage of his current swing emerged on social media. Woods' swing looks far better than it did six months ago.

For comparison's sake, here's how Woods swing looked in 2000 (left), 2010 (middle), and April 2016 (right), when he was playing his first full golf holes since his latest surgery.
