Han atop Australian PGA after opening 9-under 62

South Korean Han Min-kyu upstaged the big-name locals at the Australian PGA on Thursday, shooting a 9-under-par 62 to take a four-stroke lead after the first round.

Han, who teed off at 6:25 a.m. in mild conditions and with little wind at the revamped Hyatt Regency resort course, had 11 birdies and two bogeys — on the first and 18th.
