Andrew 'Beef' Johnston earns PGA Tour card for next season
27-year-old Englishman Andrew 'Beef' Johnston was one of the biggest breakout stars of the 2016 golf season, and after two impressive showings in the Web.com Tour Finals, he's already locked up his PGA Tour card for the upcoming year.

Beef played in four Tour-sanctioned events this year and finished 8th in the British Open at Royal Troon, where the crowds adored him. Although he won the European Tour's Spanish Open in the Spring, Johnston looked to make the jump to the much more lucrative PGA Tour.
He had to qualify by playing in the Web.com Tour Finals, a four-event playoff series that awards cards to the top-25 on the money list (in addition to the 25 cards given out to the regular-season Web.com Tour money leaders), and a fourth-place finish Sunday at the Albertsons Boise Open was good enough to secure Beef a spot on the PGA Tour.

The man who declared he'd celebrate his first European Tour win by getting "hammered" joked that he'd celebrate earning his Tour card with a few soft drinks.

Bryson DeChambeau struggled on the PGA Tour after a fourth-place finish at the RBC Heritage in April, but he also secured his PGA Tour card by winning the first event of the Web.com Tour Finals in a playoff.
