West Virginia's Durante cleared to play
West Virginia finally received the clearance from the NCAA to allow a key piece of the incoming freshman class to participate in camp on Thursday, and the team broke out the pads for a little 11-on-11.
The Mountaineers got their first look at Rivals four-star wide receiver Jovon Durante. The Miramar High School product was taking part in Thursday's practice, taking reps at wide receiver and kick/punt returner.
According to WV Illustrated, 'Durante visibly looked like one of the fastest players on the field. It was the reason nearly every major Division-I program was interested in the dynamic speedster. His arrival signifies a brand new competition at the wide receiver position.'
