Wayne State knocks out Minnesota Duluth 31-25

Troy Burrell caught 11 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns, and Wayne State rallied with 24 second-half points to defeat defending national champion Minnesota Duluth 31-25 in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals on Saturday.

Wayne State (11-3), making its first trip to the postseason, won its third straight on the road, having previously won at St. Cloud State and Nebraska-Kearney. The Detroit school will travel to Winston-Salem for the national semifinals.

Zach Hulce had 16 carries for 76 yards to lead the Bulldogs (11-3) on the ground, but was ejected in the fourth quarter for throwing a punch.
