Watson makes his final case for Heisman in win over Virginia Tech

This was a good ACC Championship game between two solid football teams. Clemson came out of the gate with a lot of energy on both sides of the football, however, Virginia Tech would not go quietly.

Deshaun Watson was stellar in this one completing 22 of his 34 passing attempts for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns. The junior signal caller also ran for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 rushing attempts. Clemson did a better job of taking care of the football in this one, but, again the Hokies never say quit spirit kept them in this one.

Clemson’s defense came up big once again, Cordrea Tankersley’s interception of Jerrod Evans with 1:11 left in the game sealed the Tigers 42-35 victory. With this win, the Tigers earned the title of back-to-back ACC Champions. Now on to the College Football Playoff!
