Watch UF running backs Scarlett and Thompson compete in a foot-race
With Kelvin Taylor entering the 2016 NFL Draft, Florida is in need of a running back to step up and take the reins of the starting job.
Riles also took a team poll before the race. This is my kind of social media. (via @Tee_Riles snapchat) pic.twitter.com/bnTsQocIW4

Two potential candidates include sophomore Jordan Scarlett and junior college transfer Mark Thompson. A Rivals.com 4-star prospect, Thompson enters Gainesville with plenty of hype. Scarlett had a solid freshman campaign -- registering 181 yards rushing and one touchdown in limited time.
Courtesy of a Antonio Riles Snapchat video, Scarlett and Thompson were shown racing in "The Swamp" at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Prior to the race, an impromptu poll was taken. Multiple members of the team thought Scarlett would win the race between the two. Scarlett is 5-foot-10, 228 pounds -- whilst Thompson is listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds.
Take a look at the video to see which speedster ultimately won the competition.
