WATCH: Oklahoma State players kneel, pray after homecoming tragedy

Tragedy struck the Oklahoma State family on Saturday, when a car crashed into a homecoming parade crowd, killing four people and injuring dozens more.

The Cowboys' game vs. Kansas went ahead as scheduled on Saturday, but the mood was somber, and Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin ordered flags to be flown at half-staff.

After Oklahoma State players took the field, they then took a knee and prayed in a circle. See the video above.

The university is unfortunately no stranger to tragedies. In November 2011, women's basketball coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna were among four killed in an Arkansas plane crash. A decade earlier in January 2001, two Oklahoma State men's basketball players died along with eight others in another plane crash.
