WATCH: Michigan State 'D' helps out hobbled Spartan 'O'

With Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook in and out of the lineup in the first half against Maryland, the Spartans' defense chipped in to help the Spartans get their ninth win of the season.

Linebacker Riley Bullough broke a 7-all tie with a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Coming with just over two minutes left in the second quarter, it gave the Spartans a 14-7 lead over the Terrapins, who have had turnover issues all season.

MSU added a field goal at the end of the second quarter for a 17-7 halftime lead, and the offense tacked on a touchdown in the second half as the Spartans won 24-7.

Bullough finished with seven tackles on the day.
