Watch LSU players chant 'Keep Coach O!' as Tom Herman rumors swirl

The LSU Tigers roared past the Texas A&M Aggies in their regular-season finale on Thursday night, but it was the news off the field that actually grabbed the headlines.

There were multiple reports during the game that LSU was nearing a deal to make Houston’s Tom Herman its next head coach, followed by denials from the Tigers' athletic department. It remains to be seen whether Herman will end up at LSU, Texas, Houston or elsewhere.

However, the Tigers’ players made their opinion known following the 54-39 win over the Aggies. They are clearly in the corner of Ed Orgeron, who has gone 5-2 since taking over on an interim basis for the fired Les Miles.

As for Orgeron, he was both appreciative for the support he has received and (allegedly) oblivious to the speculation about his future at LSU.

The picture should become clearer in the coming days as we learn more about the future of head coach Charlie Strong at Texas, which also has been linked strongly to Herman.
