WATCH: Georgia introduces Uga X with passing of the collar
On Saturday, Georgia fans got to see the passing of the puppy torch (or collar) in Sanford Stadium ahead of the Bulldogs' game against Georgia Southern.
The collar was taken off of Uga IX, and was then given to Uga X by university president Jere W. Morehead. Uga X (also named "Que") will now resume the role as Georgia's official mascot.
Georgia has used an actual English bulldog mascot dating back to 1956. "Que" will now reap the benefits of being the most beloved dog in the greater Athens area, viewing quality SEC football, and (likely) an unlimited amount of bones.
