WATCH: Former DE-turned-TE rumbles 82 yards for an NC State TD
Down 21-0 midway through the second quarter to Mississippi State in the Belk Bowl, NC State desperately needed a spark.
Enter tight end Pharoah McKever.
A former defensive end, the 6'6", 260-pound tight end caught a crossing route towards the sidelines -- accelerated upfield -- and outran the entire Bulldogs defense for an 82-yard touchdown.

The score energized the Wolfpack -- who also tacked on another touchdown later in the quarter courtesy of a 48-yard burst from Jaylen Samuels. NC State is attempting to beat an SEC team for the first time since 1999.
