Vols may have found late gem in speedy Florida WR Latrell Williams

Still in search of at least one receiver to add to its 2016 recruiting class, Tennessee recently offered Lake City, Fla., prospect Latrell Williams. His name may be new to those following the Volunteers recruiting efforts, but considering his offer came shortly after new assistant coach Larry Scott came aboard, he's one to watch in the coming weeks. 

Scott has already helped the Vols secure a commitment from top rated Florida offensive tackle Marcus Tatum, now he's attempting to help Tennessee gain the speedy Williams before signing day. Check out his blazing speed that appears to only increase the closer he gets to the end zone:

Williams recently decommitted from USF and is now being recruited by Miami and Virginia Tech in addition to Tennessee - all three schools have offered him a scholarship. 

According to Rivals, Scott reached out to Williams to offer him his first SEC scholarship. The offer meant a lot to the Florida native: 

After receiving the offer, Williams was quick to schedule an official visit to Knoxville and plans to be in the weekend of Jan. 22. However before Williams makes it to Rocky Top, the Vols will have to sweat out his official visit to Miami and another official visit to Blacksburg the weekend of Jan. 29. 

While Tennessee may have been late to discover Williams, he may provide the final piece to a recruiting class in need of another playmaker to further increase the Vols overall team speed.
