Utah's Whittingham wants an 8-team College Football Playoff

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham would like to see the College Football Playoff expand to eight teams. 

While speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Whittingham said that the Pac-12's nine-game conference schedule creates an imbalance with other Power 5 conferences that only have an eight-game conference schedule. Whittingham said that the imbalance is "not a level playing field."

Whittingham would like to see the College Football Playoff award automatic playoff invitations to the Power 5 conference champions.
