Utah, Cal both shy away from national attention

When Utah and California face off on Saturday, the college football world will see two undefeated Pac-12 teams battle to keep their winning ways.

But according to ESPN.com, neither program is allowing their record to get to their head. Though a win this weekend would keep the College Football Playoff dreams alive for the victor, coaches from both programs know how important it is to keep an even, fair attitude.

"We were ranked last and we didn't talk about it," said Cal coach Sonny Sykes, in the report. "Now that we aren't ranked last we're not going to talk about it either."

In fact, despite a No. 5 overall ranking in the most recent AP Top 25 poll, Utah players know there's much left to prove.

“I kind of look at it as we're still the underdog," said Utah running back Devontae Booker, in the report. "“It don't matter if we're No. 5 or whatever. We still have to go out there and win games if we want to be the best and win it all.”
