UNC Football: Tar Heels locker room celebration following win

UNC’s football team celebrates the big win in the locker room following the game

The North Carolina Tar Heels went into Doak Campbell Stadium and got the job done on Saturday afternoon.

After kick Nick Weiler booted a 54-yard field goal with no time left, the Tar Heels moved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in ACC play.

The kick splitting the uprights put a big smile on UNC fan’s faces as Weiler celebrated by running down and doing the ‘Tomahawk Chop’ at FSU fans.

Following the game, the celebration continued into the locker room as head coach Larry Fedora addressed the team.

Fedora emphasized how proud he was of the Tar Heels and how big the win was. He told the team they had to keep pushing and keep winning.

When he broke it down, the players went wild and Weiler, deservedly so, led the charge.

For the Tar Heels, the win is HUGE for the ACC standings as well as their College Football Playoff ranking which debuts in a few weeks.

UNC should be ranked in the Top 25 come Sunday and looks to continue the march towards repeating as ACC Coastal Division Champions.

Next up is Virginia Tech, another big game ahead of an even bigger game at Miami in a few weeks.

If the Tar Heels can take care of business in both of those games, they will be in good shape to return to the ACC Championship Game.
