Two SEC West players make top free agents signings list
Of the 256 players selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, the SEC had nearly a fifth of all those selections with 54 players drafted. But not all players that will make an impact next season as rookies in the NFL even got drafted.
NFL.com recently posted a list of the top five free agent signings following the draft, which included two players from the SEC.
Mississippi State defensive back Justin Cox signed with the Kansas City Chiefs
Cox started the first 10 games of the season before being suspended for the season for an off-the-field incident. The trouble may have caused him to move off NFL Draft boards but if he can stay out of trouble, he has the talent to the Chiefs roster and contribute right away.
Alabama wide receiver DeAndrew White signed with the San Francisco 49ers
White played in the shadow of number four overall pick Amari Cooper during his career for the Tide but has shown his ability to make an impact on special teams in college. If he can translate that to the NFL, he could earn a roster spot for a team in desperate need of receivers for Colin Kaepernick.
