Two former Huskers make CFB Hall of Fame ballot

On Tuesday the latest group of nominees for the College Football Hall of Fame were announced. The Nebraska Cornhuskers had two players make the cut.

Zach Wiegert, a 1994 unanimous first-team All-American and winner of the Outland Trophy, helped lead Nebraska to the 1993 national championship game before taking home the title in the 1994 season. The offensive tackle was a three-time All-Big Eight selection as Nebraska won conference titles every season.

Quarterback Eric Crouch won the 2001 Heisman, Walter Camp, and Davey O’Brien Award. He led the Huskers to their last national title game apparence in 2001. He also holds NCAA record for career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 59.
