Tonight's the night Paul Dawson will officially hit the NFL

Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Paul Dawson will be the first TCU Horned Frogs player selected in the NFL draft.

And that will happen tonight when the draft resumes from Chicago with rounds 2 and 3.

Dawson, the middle linebacker who dominated the Big 12 last season and was a key component in the Frogs becoming league co-champions, might have gone in the first round if not for some character issues that popped up, and a bit of a disappointing showing at the NFL combine.

But Dawson is likely to make his new team very happy in the long run. Expect Dawson to go in the second round, perhaps at No. 44 to the New Orleans Saints, Frogs blog Purple Menace predicts.

Once Dawson is off the board, it might be until Saturday's final four rounds before another of TCU's prospects are selected.
