Tigers sign two JUCO players, including potential starting QB

Auburn's depth got immediately better Wednesday, as two important players joined the Tigers roster via junior college. Quarterback/athlete prospect John Franklin and defensive end Paul James are now officially on the roster for 2016.

Wednesday was the first day JUCO prospect could officially sign scholarship papers, locking in their commitments for the following season.

Franklin is ranked as the No. 1 JUCO athlete in the nation, according to 247Sports and is expected to compete for Auburn's starting quarterback role in 2016. Meanwhile, James is ranked the No. 1 weak-side defensive end, according to 247Sports
