Three Season-Ending Surgeries Scheduled Today for Duke Football Players

Duke Football recently announced that three players will undergo season-ending surgeries today, including redshirt senior quarterback Thomas Sirk.

David Cutcliffe announced that three Blue Devils will undergo season-ending surgeries today, including redshirt senior quarterback Thomas Sirk, freshman safety Javon Jackson, and redshirt freshman safety Zach Morris.

Javon Jackson will be having surgery to repair a left foot fracture. Zach Morris missed all of last season due to a torn ACL last summer, and will be forced to sit out again this year to have micro fracture surgery on his right knee. Thomas Sirk was expected to recover and after tearing his left Achilles in February but unfortunately re-injured it while practicing and will miss the season. All of the procedures will take place today at the Duke Sports Science Institute.

Despite the season-ending injuries, there is still reasons to be optimistic for Duke Football this season. We hope Jackson, Morris, and Sirk each have successful procedures and recover well from their surgeries.
