Three Cyclones named to underrated list

Iowa State quarterback Sam Richardson threw for more than 3,000 yards last season and 21 touchdowns, but he's listed as one of the most-underrated players in the conference, according to a story on ESPN.

Two other players from Iowa State, offensive lineman Daniel Burton and defensive back Kamari Cotton-Moya are also on the team.

Someone had to be underrated, so perhaps Richardson made the list because TCU's Trevone Boykin and Baylor's Seth Russell are expected to put up big numbers. Richardson has played in 26 games for the Cyclones.

None of the three players from Iowa State was a first or second team All-Big 12 pick last season.
