There's a new look to Monmouth's 2018 schedule

(STATS) - Three first-time opponents, including one located across New Jersey, are part of Monmouth's 11-game 2018 schedule announced Thursday.

The new opponents are Eastern Michigan, Princeton and Campbell. The Hawks will open the season on Sept. 1 at Eastern Michigan in their third all-time game against an FBS opponent, play at Princeton on Sept. 22 in a matchup of schools separated by under 60 miles and host Campbell on Oct. 20 for the visiting Camels' first-ever game in the Big South Conference.

Also visiting Kessler Stadium are Hampton (Sept. 8), Wagner (Sept. 29), Bucknell (Oct. 13) and Big South opponents Charleston Southern (Nov. 3) and Kennesaw State (Nov. 10).

The Hawks, under coach Kevin Callahan, finished 9-3 and earned their first FCS playoff bid this past season.
