The future is here: LSU brings in four early enrollees from 2016 class

On Wednesday, LSU welcomed four early enrollees from the 2016 class onto its roster: linebacker Michael Divinity Jr., cornerback Saivion Smith, wide receiver Stephen Sullivan, and running back Devin White.

At first glance, this is an incredibly impressive group from a physical standpoint. On LSU's official roster, Smith -- a cornerback --  is listed at 6'3", 191 pounds. Sullivan has Megatron-size at 6'6", 228 pounds. Divinity Jr. is a solid 6'3", 224 pounds, and White is a virtual block of granite at the running back position -- registering at 6'1", 255 pounds.

LSU did exceptionally well to sign the quartet. All four are considered big-time athletes. Les Miles and his staff had to ward off elite programs from all across the country in order to obtain their services.

Of the four, Divinity Jr. may be in line to make the earliest impact. Deion Jones and Lamar Louis have graduated -- opening the door for a potential spot within the depth chart. With Miles' propensity for utilizing running backs, it also wouldn't be a complete shock to see White see time in some capacity.

More than anything, the early enrollment helps the players out tremendously. It'll give them a leg-up on their classmates when it comes to comprehending the playbook -- as well as participating in a collegiate conditioning program.
