The Citadel sets program record with 8th straight win

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Cam Jackson rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns, Dominique Allen threw for a score and The Citadel beat East Tennessee State 45-10 on Saturday to set a program record for consecutive wins in a single season.

Jackson capped the Bulldogs' opening drive with a 1-yard TD run, and scored on a 38-yard run in the second quarter. The Citadel (8-0, 6-0 Southern) outgained the Buccaneers 427-87 on the ground and had a 504-253 advantage overall.

The Bulldogs' best start to a season had been 1992 and their longest winning streak was seven in 1988.

Reggie Williams scored on an 11-yard run and Jordan Black scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter after running 49 yards to the ETSU 2 on the previous play. Jonathan Dorogy capped the scoring with a 3-yard run.

Allen connected with Jorian Jordan on a 5-yard TD pass in the first quarter and had 77 passing yards.

Austin Henrik passed for 166 yards and hit Haddon Hill on a 3-yarder for ETSU (3-5, 1-5). JJ Jerman kicked a 22-yard field goal.
