Texas running back D'Onta Foreman runs for 341 yards against Texas Tech

D'Onta Foreman was so close. He was right there.

The Texas Longhorns running back came within nine yards of matching Ricky Williams' single-game rushing record after rumbling for 341 rushing yards over the course a 45-37 win against Texas Tech on Saturday.

Williams set the mark with 350 yards against Iowa State back in 1998, and Foreman's flirtation with history came against a Red Raiders defense that had no answer for him. His only setback of the day occurred on a ridiculous, 100-yard strip-and-return touchdown at Texas Tech's goal line.

Besides that, Foreman cooked as he pleased, even running in a touchdown from 74 yards out after losing a shoe en route.

No shoe, no problem. Sometimes it's just your day.
