Tennessee athletics goes all in on 2017 five-star prospect

If you are a Tennessee Volunteers fan and you don't know the name Tee Higgins by now, there's a good chance you will in the near future, as the five-star prospect from nearby Oak Ridge has now been offered scholarships by both the Vols' football and basketball programs.

While he has only completed his sophomore season in high school, Higgins has already been offered football scholarships by Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and North Carolina. The Oak Ridge star has also been named the number one player in Tennessee for 2017 and has been rated as a five-star prospect by 247 Sports

The Volunteers are looking to get a leg up on the competition to sign the star receiver by becoming Higgin's third basketball offer, joining Auburn and Middle Tennessee.

If Higgins decides to stay at home and play for the Vols, it's conceivable he stars on both the gridiron and hardwood. While he still has two years left to make his decision, Tennessee fans anxiously await to know if the next star of WRU comes from just down the road.
