TCU safety Caylin Moore named Rhodes Scholar

TCU's football team had the week off as it prepares to meet Texas on Friday on FS1. Yet, one of the players on the Horned Frogs posted a huge victory on Sunday.

Caylin Moore, a safety from Carson, Calif.,  was named a Rhodes Scholar, one of 32 to receive the honor.

A message from the Chancellor

It is official; Caylin Moore is a 2017 Rhodes Scholar. He joins an elite group of TCU students with this recognition and a current class of 32 men and women across the United States who exemplify similar intellect, character, leadership and commitment to service. As a Rhodes Scholar, Caylin will have the opportunity to study at Oxford University next fall, where he will complete his graduate studies in Public Policy and Business Administration.

Caylin also was offered the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship.

Congratulations, Caylin; we could not be more proud to call you a Horned Frog, and we look forward to witnessing the significant and positive contributions you will make.

Moore is a 6-foot-2, 211-pound senior.

The school congratulated its player as did others.
