Taylor demoted to a third-string standing with release of new depth chart

Call it disciplinary action or a change in philosophy, but Jim McElwain isn't afraid to shake things up.

A few days after starting running back Kelvin Taylor was brutally chastised on the sideline for a throat-slashing gesture after a touchdown, McElwain demoted Taylor to third on the depth chart behind true freshmen Jordan Scarlett and Jordan Cronkrite.

Taylor had been the starter in both of Florida's victories to start the 2015 season. On the year, Taylor leads the Gators with 109 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 24 carries. While Cronkrite and Scarlett have been getting carries, Taylor is veteran of the group.

Clearly, McElwain is sending a message to his junior running back with this turn of events.
