Suspended safety J.W Ketchum tweets he no longer attends Baylor
Freshman safety J.W. Ketchum no longer attends Baylor, he tweeted Monday.
One of Baylor's top signees in the 2015 class, Ketchum was suspended last week after an unspecified violation of team rules. In August he was arrested for possession of marijuana by Baylor police. According to the Dallas Morning News, Ketchum was released the next day on $1,000 bail.
Ketchum is the second player Baylor has dismissed this season. Starting tight end Tre'Von Armstead was dismissed last month for an unspecified violation of team rules.
During Baylor's weekly press conference Monday, coach Art Briles said Ketchum could be back with the Bears next season if he resolved pending issues. However, Ketchum sounded as though he plans to attend another school when talking with ESPN Central Texas' David Smoak: "I'm grateful for the chance [Baylor] gave me but I'm just ready to ball somewhere."
