Suspect shot at Colorado's athletic facility after report of man with machete
Police shot a suspect at Colorado’s athletic facility after receiving reports of a man in the building armed with a machete, according to the Daily Camera.
The person was shot in a stairwell inside the Champions Center, which is attached to the northeast corner of the school’s football stadium. Police received a report of an armed man at roughly 9 a.m. local time and reported shots fired 20 minutes later.
The school later tweeted that the suspect was in custody. Police are on the scene investigating.
The facility was opened in April and contains training, administrative and dining facilities for the Buffaloes program.
