Surprise 2015 WR to sign with Cougars

Three-star wide receiver Tavares Martin, who had previously committed to West Virginia, has officially committed to Washington State.

Martin, who held over 20 scholarship offers from around the country, committed late but will be eligible to play in 2015.

As for why he signed with the Cougars, Martin had this to say:

“I committed to WSU,” Martin said, according to Scout.com. “I committed yesterday when I was on my official visit. I loved it over there. The campus was everything I wanted it to be and more. The people there were nice and it was a perfect environment. I can definitely see myself there for the next 4-5 years.”

Martin is from Palms Beach Garden, Florida and was ranked the No. 19 wide receiver in the state of Florida.
