Staying cocky! Elite WR Edwards opts to stay with USC over Clemson

The recruiting process for elite 2016 receiver prospect Bryan Edwards came full-circle on Tuesday -- as he decided to pledge his services to Will Muschamp and the new staff at South Carolina.

A Rivals.com 4-star prospect and the No. 4 prospect in the state, Edwards had been committed to the program under Steve Spurrier. He then opened the process back up in November after the staff changes occurred.

It appeared he was set on choosing in-state rival Clemson -- but Muschamp's last-minute pitch proved to be the difference. It's not very often a player will recommit to the school after once reneging on a pledge, but South Carolina will gladly accept Edwards' services.

An elite athlete out of Conway High School, he will participate in prestigious Army All-American Bowl in January.
