Stanford ranked No. 21 in initial Amway coaches poll

The preseason Amway coaches poll was released on Thursday morning and the Stanford Cardinal are ranked No. 21 in the country.

Coming off of an 8-5 season, the Cardinal are expected to compete with Oregon for the Pac-12 North title. The Cardinal are lead on defense by senior LB Blake Martinez and on offense by senior QB Kevin Hogan.

Stanford is one of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the initial poll.
