Stanford DB Hoffpauir drafted by Arizona Diamondbacks

Stanford's most accomplished defensive back, Zach Hoffpauir, was selected in round No. 22 by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MLB First-Year Player Draft on Wednesday. 

The Cardinal now anxiously await Hoffpauir's impending decision. He could chose to accept the Diamondbacks offer, or he could return to school for his final season of football and baseball. 

"We'll see how it plays out," Hoffpauir said before the draft, according to Jon Wilner of The Mercury News. "I know what it will take for me to (turn pro). But I'm not going to say until I get drafted and people see what happens."
